Overview

Jordi worked on a feature length documentary about the future of Electric and Autonomous vehicles called Betting on Red. As part of the documentary, the team need running footage of electric vehicles, particularly Teslas, to highlight key points of the film. The aim was to elevate the aesthetic of the film by capturing footage that was dynamic and high energy.

Challenges & Approach

Jordi and team only had one day to capture the running footage. And for anyone that has shot vehicles before, that really meant that they only had a handful of hours, during the key time around sunrise. In order to make the most of the time, Jordi and his camera department scouted the locations heavily, planning camera moves and coordinating driving scenarios.

The result

A library of footage that gave the feature film an elevated look at times akin to a car commercial.
