Overview
Mark Zuckerberg texted Jordi and said, "Hey man, I need a video." The rest is history…. But of course that's not how it actually happened. :) It was Meta's experiential agency, Jack Morton, that reached out for some support to capture their worldwide virtual event, Conversations. In all, Jordi directed more than 90 minutes of content that involved multiple top executives at Meta, including Mark Zuckerberg.
Challenges & Approach
Time. Time was the biggest challenge here. Given the tight schedule of Mark and other executives, like Sheryl Sandberg, there was no opportunity for a bunch of redos or additional takes. In fact, Jordi had 2 takes with Mark, 1 with Sheryl and about the same amount with the other executives. To ensure that he would have enough coverage, Jordi worked with his DP's (Sarah Phillips and Sean Emer) to create a 5 camera set up (all Alexa Mini's with Angenieux EZ Zooms) that could cover every interesting angle.
The result
Under Jordi's guidance, the team was able to deliver 90 minutes plus of content in just a few weeks. The process included pre-production, production, and post-production.
