Overview
Jordi worked with theAmplify and Universal McCann, agencies for Sony Pictures, to direct more than 40 videos to promote the release of the feature film "The Walk" through its accompanying VR experience. The videos included numerous high-profile influencers, many with millions of followers. The aim was to capture the individual reactions of the influencers as they experienced the adrenaline rush of walking across a tightrope that connected the twin towers.
Challenges & Approach
Creating VFX shots at scale is a proverbial tightrope walk in and of itself. However, that's what Jordi needed to do with more than 20 influencers. Jordi worked with his DP, Guy Livneh, to set up a series of capture stations in a studio. Once the stations were set up, then the real work began. Over a 2 day shoot, the influencers cycled through as Jordi's crew recorded the magic.
The result
The resulting videos were fun and unique, exhibiting the unique personality of each influencer. At the same time, they consistently showed the phenomenal VR experience that awaited audiences who dared to try The Walk.
